Editorial policy

Pages exist to answer a distinct travel question. They do not exist to multiply keywords.

Selection

We open a page when a search cluster has its own intent and we can describe the place or the stay type without copying another URL. Downtowns and airports are separate when people are clearly asking for a different night than the city at large.

We do not open a page when the query is a rewording of a stronger page, or when the only honest article would be a town name swapped into a template. Alberta-wide wording that really means Banff stays with Banff. London, Ontario wording stays with London, Ontario. Halifax wording stays with Halifax rather than a thin Nova Scotia duplicate.

Writing

Copy is place-based: neighbourhoods, seasons, and arrival. We use Canadian English. We do not stuff keyword lists into paragraphs. Primary wording appears in the title and the heading when it fits a sentence a person would say.

The current site does not sell placement or rank hotels. If the commercial model changes, relevant relationships must be disclosed before affected content is published.

What we will not add

No fabricated reviews, scores, awards, client counts, or prices. No structured data that claims a hotel offer. Photographs are stock images with honest captions, not proof of a specific booking.

Park conditions, ferry schedules, and rate rules go stale. Readers should confirm them with Parks Canada, the operator, or the seller. We would rather send you there than freeze a number that expires.
